So sad to hear of Matt’s sudden passing.
He would always call me to make sure I was ok especially during this pandemic. He was always kind and caring. He loved gardening, pets and cooking. I envied him when he lost so much weight and stopped smoking cold turkey.
Rest In Peace little brother. Heaven has gained a wonderful angel.
Love Carolyn

So sorry for the loss of your brother, Matt. I remember him, and the rest of your siblings, whenever I visited with you during high school. May you be comforted knowing that he had a loving group of friends that cared for him as much as he cared for them. Holding you and all of his loved ones close to my heart during this time. Donna (Shockley) Summers.

My condolences to David Hinton and the Kovach family. Since finding out about Matt's passing I have been remembering the good times we shared. He was a kind, gentle, humorous, and generous person who will be greatly missed.

When I think of Matt, one word comes to mind: community.
For many years, Matt led the Cincinnati Atheist Meetup Group (CAMG). The purpose of the group was simple: gather together in a restaurant for dinner, to swap stories, and to build community. Matt was kind and generous as well – he would frequently bring prizes or gifts for dinner attendees. He loved telling stories as well as hearing from the other attendees. The dinners were lively and upbeat. In addition, Matt also hosted an annual picnic at Mt Echo Park for many years.

Sincerely, Dan Dusa.
