During my career in the Army Dave was my best friend. Over the years Dave shared many endearing qualities to everyone he came in contact with. One of my favorites was his irrepressible sense of humor. One example is while we served in Desert Storm. On a day well over 100 degrees we sat in the desert and held up Olympic style grading cards Dave fabricated out of MRE boxes and graded our First Sergeant as he left the military style of porta potties on his way beck to the Command Post. This was my best friend.
